Preparation Post-XIC

Involvement in the community

We are always looking for new ways to involve sixth form into the XIC school community and have recently started a Spanish conversation programme with our primary school children in KS2.  In September we will be launching a mentoring programme for Y11 students to receive GCSE help and advice from sixth formers and a ‘buddy system’ to help integrate new students of all ages into life at XIC.

In sixth form we organise a variety of activities days and charity fundraisers throughout the year. The money raised from these events goes to a variety of local, national and international charities nominated by our sixth form, MABS, APROP and Save The Children to name but a few.  We welcome new ideas to have fun and fundraise. Be proactive and share your ideas and skills.

  • Cake Sales
  • Halloween & Valentine Discos (for KS2 & 3 students)
  • Easter Egg Hunt (for KS2 & 3 students)
  • Christmas Market
  • Beach Clean Up Day
  • End of Year Prom
  • Non-Uniform Days
  • Christmas Jumper Day

University Fairs

In the winter term we attend a selection of University Fairs where students can meet representatives from universities around the world to help them see what is on offer in their field of interest.  We also bring in professional and business people to talk to our young people about their careers and how they achieved their success. We look forward to exciting times ahead.

Come and visit us, meet our students and staff and feel for yourself how you will grow in our Sixth Form.  We are dedicated to your future and will support you in challenging times whilst celebrating in moments of success.
