Component 1: Scientific principles; cardiovascular, muscular-skeletal and respiratory systems, lever systems, laws of motion, unhealthy lifestyles and effects

Component 3: Practical activity; One individual or team activity, performance analysis, performance development programme

Component 4: Sport psychology; personality, attitude, arousal, anxiety, aggression, motivation, social facilitation

Component 1: Scientific principles; fibre type, neuro-muscular system, adaptations of the physiological body systems

Component 2: Exercise physiology; dietary manipulation pre, during and post exercise, supplementation

 Component 3: Practical activity; One individual or team activity, performance analysis, performance development programme

Component 5: Skill classification; learning theories, stages of learning, types of practice, guidance and feedback

Component 7: Sport in Society; History of sport and influence on modern day, Paralympic Sport, Women in Global sport, Migration patterns, Corporate sport

Component 2: Exercise physiology; components of fitness, principles of training, periodisation, methods of training, preparation for performance in heat and humidity
